Jones rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Burritos Picante hurlers were throwing. "I think the Spartans were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Monrovia fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Jones in the postgame press interview. Jason Jones singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the year Jones is batting .254 with 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |   |
