 | Season Over for Cruz Thursday, July 14th, 2033 Arturo Cruz has to call it a season. The Millers Creek Bobcats reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 07/09/2033 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a stretched elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9 months. The team will likely place Cruz on the disabled list today. Taking a look at his season, Cruz has made 33 relief appearances, recorded 9 saves and compiled a 1-2 won-lost mark and a 2.75 ERA. In pitching 39.1 innings, he has totaled 42 strikeouts and 24 walks. |   |
