 | Mud Hens End Maxwell's Streak Wednesday, July 5th, 2034 The Toledo Mud Hens pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Jeffery Maxwell hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 3-1 victory over the Saranac Black and Tan at Ballpark of Saranac. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Maxwell said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Looking at his stats this year, Maxwell has compiled a .284 batting average, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 38 runs. He has played in 76 games and scored 38 runs. |   |
