 | July's Top Hurler is Austin Tuesday, August 1st, 2034 Over the past month Vern Austin has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Sub League 2. He proved all that and now he's been named July's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Flatbush Dukes posted 4-1 mark and a 1.72 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 36.2 innings, permitted 32 hits and fanned 30 batters. To this point in the season, Austin shows a 5-8 record, 20 starts, 117.1 innings, 102 strikeouts and a 3.45 ERA. |   |
