 | Suárez Gets Award for Relief Work Friday, September 8th, 2034 At the age of 25, Charlie Suárez says he still has a lot to learn about life in NFBL Triple A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Worcester Ruby Legs reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2034 Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Fort Worth, Texas native said.
For the season, Suárez had 1 save in 35 relief appearances, which totaled 53. He fanned 26 betters, while walking 10 and put up a record of 7-1 to go with his 1.02 ERA.
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dong-ook Pak of the Havana Rumrunners finished second in voting, while Elvis Evans of the Mar Vista Gulls finished third.
