Chance Birdsall did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Ballpark of Colorado Springs today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Thunder Bay Lightning beat the Colorado Springs Gangsters 6-3 today.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Birdsall told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Thunder Bay clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Chance Birdsall doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year Birdsall is batting .295 with 123 hits and no home runs. He has scored 58 times and has batted in 33 runs. |   |
