 | Gangsters End Birdsall's Streak Thursday, August 3rd, 2034 Lady Luck was not on the side of Chance Birdsall or his teammates today at Ballpark of Colorado Springs. Everything went the way of the Colorado Springs Gangsters, who not only came away with the 8-3 victory over Thunder Bay, but also held Birdsall hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 21-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Birdsall said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." Thus far this season Birdsall is hitting .292 with no home runs, 33 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 123 hits in 421 at-bats and has played in 113 games. |   |
