 | Week's #1 Player Honored by SL1 Monday, August 7th, 2034 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Rubén Ortíz of the Duarte Gauchos reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ortíz rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (7-for-14), no home runs and 2 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Ortíz is batting .238 with 15 RBIs, 16 runs scored and 1 home run. |   |
