 | Roxa Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, August 8th, 2034 The Des Moines Riverboats stopped the Las Vegas 51s today 4-3 and Cāndido Roxa collected a base hit yet again. The Des Moines center fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Roxa told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Cāndido Roxa flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Roxa has put up a .297 batting average with 142 hits, 6 home runs and 69 RBIs. |   |
