The future appears bright for the Durham Bulls relief ace, who captured the award with 22 saves in 43 relief appearances, 47 strikeouts in 45.2 innings and a record of 4-2 to go with his 1.58 ERA. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Raśl Landey of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished second in voting, while Pablo Soto of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished third.
