 | SL2 Starter of the Month Goes to Mendoza Thursday, June 1st, 2034 In May, José Mendoza tore through the Sub League 2 like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 21 years old. The young Baton Rouge starter posted a 5-0 mark and an ERA of 0.41 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 43.2 innings he collected 34 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .209 average. Checking out his stats for the year, Mendoza has racked up 8 wins and 2 losses in 12 starts, 1.77 ERA and struck out 63 batters in 81.1 innings. |   |
