 | Dustdevils Out of Playoff Race Saturday, September 30th, 2034 The Machida Dustdevils quite simply didn't have what it took this year. The club was formally eliminated from playoff qualification in 2034. "It feels bad," said Dustdevils center fielder Ryuzaburo Murakami, when asked for his response by reporters. "Having your biggest hopes of the year dashed feels bad." The Dustdevils have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 24 years as a Japanese Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2030. In the last 10 seasons, the Dustdevils have missed the playoffs 8 times.
