The manager of the Fukuyama Norsemen said he always had confidence handing the ball to Kazuki Ohayashi out of the bullpen.

The 27-year-old was a dominant performer all year for Fukuyama and his efforts have been rewarded with the Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2034.

The bullpen ace had an impressive 1.35 ERA this season, with 31 saves in 69 relief appearances. He fanned 49 batters in 80 innings and sported a record of 9 wins and 3 losses.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Katsunan Tanaka of the Niigata Cardinals finished second in voting, while Kunio Sato of the Matsuyama Miracle finished third.
