Rodríguez has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .345 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Okazaki Tornado star also put up a .449 on-base percentage this year, with 208 hits, 24 doubles, 2 triples, 50 home runs, 118 RBIs and 110 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Shimei Tanaka of the Sendai Hopes finished second in voting, while Ryuzaburo Murakami of the Machida Dustdevils finished third.
