Fans who gathered at Wrigley Field saw a good contest between the Rochester Redbirds and Chicago Whales.

Rochester Redbirds starter Vaughn Dye was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chicago Whales, 3-1. In 8 innings, Dye surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.

António Fabián made it 2-1, Rochester, in the top of the ninth when he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Redbirds win.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Fabián.

The Whales fall to 12-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.
