| Quakers Get Road Win, 5-1 | Orlando Bafana never let the Redbirds get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Quakers to a 5-1 win. Bafana, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Philadelphia is now 29-22, 2 games up in the Division 1.
Sergio Portillo, who is on pace for 248 hits this season, helped out the Philadelphia cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the right fielder was 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Orlando was pounding the zone," said Philadelphia manager Andruw Jones.
