| Superbas Lose 4-1 Decision to Oaks | The Oakland Oaks got a stellar effort from pitcher José López, helping Oakland score a 4-1 win over the visiting Brooklyn Superbas. The save was César García's, his 16th. Oakland has now won 3 in a row.
Augusto Montoya drove in one run for Oakland. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Miguel García. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
