| Bayou Rats Need Extra Frames to Get Past Stars | The Bayou Rats had to overcome a good performance from Hollywood pitcher Bob Cotton to claim a 4-1 win at Gilmore Field. Cotton went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Houston is last in the Division 1 with a record of 26-35.
Houston used the bat of Daniel Durán to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bayou Rats ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Houston manager Paul Lupi.
