| Spiders Lose to Redbirds, 7-2 | Chris Love did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cleveland Spiders from losing, 7-2, to the Rochester Redbirds at Rochester Stadium. Love was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Redbirds have an impressive 37-23 record.
Martín Guijosa had a big bases-clearing double for the Redbirds in the bottom of the second inning. With Rochester leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Carlos Castro and stroked the double to left. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Redbirds ahead, 5-0.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Guijosa.
