| Thrice as Nice: Hollywood Seizes 3-0 Advantage With Late Win | The Hollywood Stars are now one game away from a sweep of the Rochester Redbirds after a dramatic walk-off win in the 12th inning at Gilmore Field today. Stars right-hander Bob Cotton was named player of the game in the 4-3 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Hollywood holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.
Late in the game, left fielder Roberto Salinas had a big at-bat for Hollywood. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single off Steve Hargrove. The play gave the Stars a 4-3 lead.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Cotton.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Gilmore Field. Slated to start are Gonzalo Durán for the Rochester Redbirds and Mike Henderson for the the Hollywood Stars.
