| Stars Clip Spiders 3-2 in R2 Contest | The Hollywood Stars topped the Cleveland Spiders by the score of 3-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Federal Series today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Hollywood starter Julián Garza, who threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs in the win.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Leon O'Donnell hit a single. The Stars went on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Hollywood manager Drees van Straaten. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The next game is scheduled for Monday, October 16th, 2034 at Gilmore Field in Los Angeles. Slated to start are Brian Ewing for the Cleveland Spiders and Jesús Salazar for the the Hollywood Stars.
