| Stars Hammered by Hinton, Drop Game 4 to Spiders | The Cleveland Spiders defeated the Hollywood Stars, 8-4 in Game 4 of the Federal Series today. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Caleb Hinton, who was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win moves Cleveland into a 2-2 tie with Hollywood in the series.
Jeremy Beasley, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Cleveland cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We maximized our offense today," said Cleveland skipper Jim Bauch. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Gilmore Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Carlos Castro for the Cleveland Spiders and Bob Cotton for the the Hollywood Stars.
