| Kato Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Hollywood in Walk-Off Win | Hollywood played host to Boston at the friendly confines of Gilmore Field.
The Hollywood Stars topped the Boston Beaneaters, 4-3, in Robinson League action at Gilmore Field. The player of the game was Hollywood pitcher and Mexico native Julián Garza. The winner was Miguel Angel Puopolo in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Mario Ortíz took the loss.
The Stars got a big at-bat from second baseman Yoshitake Kato. For the game, Kato went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 70th hit of the season gave Hollywood a 4-3 lead.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Boston manager Jun Ine.
The Stars' win now puts them at 28-38.
