| Hollywood Win Evens Series at 3 | The Hollywood Stars and the Cleveland Spiders will take the Federal Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Stars beat the Spiders 9-3 at Sockalexis Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Hollywood second baseman Yoshitake Kato was named player of the game in the win after he was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.
Kato had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Stars went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kato.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Sockalexis Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Jesús Salazar for Hollywood and Brian Ewing for Cleveland.
