| Quakers Best Perfectos in Pitching Duel | Philadelphia rode a good effort from starter Jorge Franco to beat the St. Louis Perfectos at Juliet Gunn Field. The final score was 2-0. Jesse Boone converted his 13th save in 22 tries. The Quakers bumped their record to 41-33 with this latest triumph.
Sergio Portillo, who leads the GL with a .390 batting average, aided the Philadelphia cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
