| Stars Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | The Hollywood Stars topped the Boston Beaneaters, 4-3, in Robinson League action at South End Grounds. The player of the game was Hollywood pitcher Julián Garza. The Stars raised their record to 32-44.
Hollywood used the timely hitting of Tom MacMenzies to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stars on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," MacMenzies told a Hollywood News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
