| Spiders Prevail, 10-8, Over Rochester | The Rochester Redbirds got a sterling performance from second baseman Martín Guijosa, but the Spiders still prevailed, 10-8. Guijosa was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Carlos Castro got the win, improving to 11-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 9 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Robinson Pérez converted his 7th save in 12 tries.
Jeremy Beasley, who leads the GL in triples with 6, aided the Cleveland cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Beasley told the Cleveland Times. "It's as simple as that."
Cleveland is now 52-40, Rochester 53-39.
