| Victory Pushes Quakers Record to 57-42 | The Hollywood Stars and Philadelphia Quakers provided some drama at Myers Field.
The Philadelphia Quakers got a strong performance from pitcher Jacob White, who stymied the Hollywood offense en route to a 3-2 win at Myers Field. The Quakers bumped their record to 57-42 with this latest triumph.
The Quakers got a big at-bat from shortstop Rafael Román. For the game, Román went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead.
"I found a nice groove out there," said White.
