| Whales Roll Over Beaneaters, 13-3 | The Chicago Whales cruised to a 13-3 win over the Boston Beaneaters at South End Grounds today. Pedro Camacho led the way, going 4-for-5 for Chicago. Juan Ramírez, the winner, improved to 4-7. He held the Beaneaters to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The 5th-place Beaneaters have dropped 5 straight games.
Mark Merrit aided the Chicago cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
