| Pilots Get Road Win, 2-1 | Seattle and Hollywood played a hard-fought contest at Gilmore Field.
The Seattle Pilots topped the Hollywood Stars, 2-1, in Robinson League action at Gilmore Field. The player of the game was Seattle pitcher José Medina. Stanley Brown notched his 30th save in 35 chances.
Shane McDaniel, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2021, aided the Seattle cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
Afterward, Pilots manager Dane Sardinha was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
The Pilots bumped their record to 51-51 with this latest triumph.
