| Stars Topple Pilots with Late Rally | Hollywood withstood an impressive performance by Seattle catcher Pedro Colón to defeat the Pilots, 6-5, at Gilmore Field. Colón went 2 for 2 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hollywood reliever Marcos Márquez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Stanley Brown shouldered the loss. The Stars sit in 5th place in the Division 1 with a record of 48-55.
Cristo Sandoval was the walk-off hero for Hollywood. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stars third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sandoval. "And not try to do too much."
