| Quakers Roll Whales, 4-1 | Philadelphia starter Robert Rogers pitched effectively against the Chicago Whales at Myers Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. The Quakers bumped their record to 62-46 with this latest triumph.
Clayton Cole, who is a five-time All-Star, aided the Philadelphia cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run.
"We had a good game plan," Rogers said, "and we were able to execute it."
