| 7 Straight Wins for Spiders | The Cleveland Spiders grabbed a 3-0 win over the St. Louis Perfectos at Juliet Gunn Field. Cleveland center fielder José Rosas went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Luis Bautista in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bob Harmon took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Spiders.
Cleveland took a 2-0 lead on Rosas's 130th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which he hit off Darren Frazier in the top of the seventh, propelled Cleveland to the win.
