| Pilots Get One-Run Win at Chicago | Jack Thompson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Chicago Whales from losing, 4-3, to the Seattle Pilots at Wrigley Field. Thompson was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times.
