| Spiders Get Past Oakland for 4-3 Win | Spiders left fielder Jeremy Beasley put his stamp on his team's 4-3 win over the Oakland Oaks. Beasley was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Cleveland in the contest. Cleveland reliever Bo Baker picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Koryusai Kichida absorbed the loss. Clinton Johnson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 9 save opportunities.
Had Bruno Bodin not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Bodin hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Spiders.
"This was a good win," said Beasley.
Cleveland is now 66-47, 3½ games up in the Division 1.
