| Oaks Solve Spiders, 5-4 | Chris Love did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cleveland Spiders from losing, 5-4, to the Oakland Oaks at Monster Park. Love went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 56-60, the Oaks are currently 4th in the Division 1.
Had Ronnie Simmons not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Simmons hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Oaks.
"We found a way to get it done," Simmons said.
