| Bayou Rats Nip Perfectos, 3-2 | It was a fun time at The Rats' Nest, where the St. Louis Perfectos and Houston Bayou Rats tangled.
The Houston Bayou Rats took St. Louis pitcher Ichiro Yasuda's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Rats' Nest. The final score had Houston getting past the Perfectos, 3-2. Yasuda went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 3. Alfredo Ángel earned his 14th save in 16 chances.
Tim Ratchford drove in one run for Houston. The five-time Gold Glove Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Darren Frazier. It was his 35th RBI of the season.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said St. Louis manager Mark Gunn, "let me know."
The Bayou Rats bumped their record to 59-56 with this latest triumph.
