| 5-1 Pilots Win over Bayou Rats Evens Season Record | Seattle starter Ben Hernández put a stranglehold on the Houston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Pilots to a 5-1 win. The Pilots bumped their record to 60-60 with this latest triumph.
Shane McDaniel, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the Seattle cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Seattle skipper Dane Sardinha.
