| Loss to Spiders Extends Chicago Losing Streak | Tim Meehan was instrumental in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Chicago Whales. The right fielder went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cleveland Spiders. Chicago is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 10 in a row.
Meehan had a key at-bat for Cleveland early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Cleveland an early 4-1 lead.
