| Oaks Lose to Pilots in Walk Off | Oakland left fielder Johnny Blue had a good game, even if his team did not. The Oaks dropped a 13-12 decision to Seattle at Koufax Park. Blue went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Seattle, at 61-61, occupies third place in the Division 1.
Pedro Colón, who is a four-time All-Star, chipped in for Seattle with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the catcher had 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 3 singles, 3 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Colón told the Seattle News.
