| Stars Trip Oaks in Extras | Oakland got a terrific performance from pitcher José López, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hollywood Stars. Hollywood won the Monster Park contest, 3-1. López was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. With the win, the Stars improved to 58-68.
Hollywood needed the clutch hitting of Tom MacMenzies to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Stars on top, 2-1. For the game, MacMenzies had 1 home run and 2 singles in 7 at-bats.
