| Redbirds Stun Pilots, 4-3 | The first-place Rochester Redbirds took on the Seattle Pilots at Rochester Stadium.
Cristo Goena made an impact in the 4-3 Rochester win over Seattle. Goena, the 12th overall pick in the 2027 draft, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Oscar Gimenez got the save, his 36th in 45 chances.
Goena had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Sixto López, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Redbirds a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Goena.
Goena told a Rochester Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Rochester is now 70-56, 6 games up in the Division 1.
