| Victory Pushes Perfectos Record to 69-63 | Behind a solid performance from left fielder Mike Jones, the St. Louis Perfectos defeated the Seattle Pilots, 7-2. Jones was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Perfectos. The Perfectos, now 69-63, have won 5 in a row.
Jones contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for St. Louis in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Jones took a cutter from Ian Black and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Perfectos to leap in front, 2-1.
