| Bayou Rats Lose, 5-1, at Myers Field | Philadelphia beat Houston on the strength of starter Jacob White's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. The Quakers bumped their record to 73-57 with this latest triumph.
Jesús Huerta had a big bases-clearing double for the Quakers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Philadelphia leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Ward Velásquez and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 39th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Quakers ahead, 5-0.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Huerta told the Philadelphia Gazette.
