| Beaneaters Lose, 3-1, at Myers Field | Philadelphia Quakers starter Jacob White turned in a top-notch performance against the Boston Beaneaters at Myers Field. The result was a win for the Quakers, 3-1. The Quakers bumped their record to 78-63 with this latest triumph.
The Quakers got a big at-bat from right fielder Sergio Portillo. For the game, Portillo was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 37th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," White said after the game.
