| Redbirds Lose, 5-4, at Gilmore Field | The Rochester Redbirds got a superb performance from pitcher Bob Craig. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Hollywood. The Stars won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Craig was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Reliever Miguel Angel Puopolo picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Andrés Morales took the loss. The Stars now own a record of 70-72.
Had Shinji Ohayashi not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ohayashi hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Stars.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ohayashi said after the game.
