| Pilots Prevail, 4-3, Over Oakland | Starting pitcher José Medina pitched well enough to help the Seattle Pilots beat the Oakland Oaks by the score of 4-3. The Pilots saw their win-loss record go to 66-78. At the same time, the Oaks fell to 69-72.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from second baseman Ward Wallace. For the game, Wallace went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Seattle a 3-0 lead.
