| Victory Pushes Perfectos Record to 75-69 | St. Louis played host to Hollywood at the friendly confines of Juliet Gunn Field.
With catcher Raúl Ortíz leading the charge, the St. Louis Perfectos defeated the Hollywood Stars, 8-4, at Juliet Gunn Field. Ortíz, who is tied for 6th in the RL in bases on balls with 72, was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lou Murray earned the win to go to 12-8. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Darren Frazier notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.
The Perfectos got a big at-bat from shortstop Juan Martínez. For the game, Martínez went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 26th double of the season gave St. Louis a 6-4 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ortíz said.
St. Louis is now 75-69.
