| Pilots Rally to Eke Out Win | The Rochester Redbirds got a superb performance from pitcher Matt Shaw. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Seattle. The Pilots won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Shaw was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. Seattle, at 67-79, sits in 5th place in the Division 1.
Juan Sandoval chipped in for Seattle with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 12th. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Sandoval said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
