| Stars Sneak Past Whales, 3-2 | The Chicago Whales went down to defeat to Bob Cotton and his Hollywood teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Stars. The winner was Hollywood reliever Darren Frazier, now 1-1. The loser was Jon Harris. The Whales fall to 6-10 and continue their lackluster start to the 2034 season.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Yoshitake Kato came to bat in the bottom of the 14th. Facing Chicago pitcher Jon Harris, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Hollywood on top, 3-2.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Chicago manager Masamichi Noguchi.
